The very first Big Brother USA was very different from the Big Brother we know and love today. For example it did not go by Big Brother 1 it was called Big Brother 2000. There were only 10 houseguest, There were no competiton, HoH, PoV etc. They had weekly task to do to earn food or personal items. The Diary Room Sessions were seen by the public in full it was not just clips we see today. Each week the Houseguest them selves would go into the DR and cast a vote to nominate two of their own, and the houseguest with the most votes from their fellow housemates were the ones who were nominated for banishment, then America would call in via a 900 number and voted to banish. Big Brother 2000 also aired on CBS 6 times a week, four 30 min daily recap shows, one hour live show and one hour weekly recap show. On Big Brother 2000 they also grew most of their own foods, they had chickens to raise for the eggs, Thats how Chicken George came to be known as CG he was the main care taker of the chickens. The 24/7 Live Feeds were also free during Big Brother 2000. For the first couple Live Banishments Julie Chen had a Co-Host Ian O'Malley, who would greet the HouseGuests after they were banished, and direct them to the live studio. In live eviction episodes, Julie Chen was frequently joined in-studio by TV and radio personality "Dr. Drew" Pinsky, to discuss psychological and interpersonal aspects of ongoing events. Also joining Julie was Regina Lewis as the "AOL Online Adviser", Regina highlighted online forum discussions and shared results from online polls. Neither "Dr. Drew" Pinsky nor Regina Lewis returned in subsequent seasons. Big Brother 2000 was also the only season where the front door opened up into a live audiance untill Big Brother 10. As the number of HouseGuests dwindled, the show started losing viewers, and producer Paul Romer hoped to spice up the proceedings on Day 64 by bribing one of the HouseGuests with $20,000 to leave and replace them with a new, more interesting HouseGuest. Romer bragged in the media that they would have no problem getting a contestant to leave. On the Wednesday live show, viewers were introduced to Beth, an alternate from the casting process who described herself as being "opinionated" and "a bitch." Despite prodding from Julie Chen to take what began as $20,000, and was increased to $50,000, none of the HouseGuests would take the money and leave the game.

Brittany Petros most known for her spunk and wildly varying hair color. Currently, Brittany is an actress and has done casting work for several reality shows.

the "us" vs "them" mentality..this ruled this cycle... BB was the antagonist and the hg were in revolt!

this season became an "us vs them"...hg revolted against BB...only season where America had only say i n eliminations...very pure version of the show before hg realized that affiliations may benefit there game...they never embraced this game concept. it truly was a revolt of BB..hg against BB..

There was no game concept, It was played how Big Brother was meant to be played. They didn't have to fight each other to stay in the game. They just had to be them selves the only "competitons" were the weekly task like Dead or Alive where they all sat down as a group and try to figure out which ppl on the cards were dead or alive. BB 2000 was not competitive like BB2-10. Since they didn't have to fight to stay in the game there wasn't any game affiliations to realize. All they had to do was hope they made a good impression on America so they would not be banished from the house.
